She was accepted into what was then, the Center for Creative Studies Industrial Design program, and is now known as the College for Creative Studies. Her art school endeavors were put on hold to return to work full-time and raise her son, who is also an artist. Currently, her studio in the Fisher is mainly used as a creative space and mini-gallery to display her work. She is an abstract painter and textile design enthusiast, inspired by natural, organic, exotic shapes, colors and African iconic symbols. She works in mediums of colored pencils, acrylic and watercolor paints, gold, silver and bronze metallic inks, pens and markers and liquid gold leaf. She enjoys exploring creative possibilities and bringing her ideas into fruition. She is excited by the infinite artistic possibilities in her future.'
